“Do I need to know how to ride horses already?”

No experience is necessary with Martial arts or horseback riding for private lessons. We offer specialized beginner riding lessons for those with no riding experience. Before joining squad training, students must be able to walk, trot comfortably, canter, steer, stop, and rein with one hand.

“Do you teach regular horseback riding lessons, without the weapons?”

Yes! We teach our very functional Bombproof Riding System, a simple and robust riding system that is unsurpassed for keeping riders on their horses. It has to work for us to do the things we do. If you’re tired of confusing instruction and still feeling afraid of your horse acting…like a horse, come take some riding lessons with us. 

“Do you teach English riding or Western riding?”

The Bombproof Riding System we teach is based on universal principles of how the human and equine bodies move together. Whether you come from a Western riding background, an English riding background, or something else, you will find that the riding style here fits like a glove. Students are often enlightened about old techniques that never made sense to them before because we cast aside the silo effect that keeps people from reconciling ideas. 

“Do I need my own horse?”

We have many horses available who are used to this work. They are different breeds and dispositions and there is one to fit about any rider. We also provide all the tack and equipment needed, and have both English and Western saddles available. 

“What payment forms do you accept?”

We accept cash, check, or credit card (in person or invoice via text/email)

“What are the age requirements?”

There is no age limit, upper or lower, per se. However, while we accept children, there is no designated children’s program. 

“So—it’s jousting? Like Ren Faire?”
